Fly Dubai begins operating its flights to Sphinx International Airport
flydubai began operating regular flights to Cairo on October 29, with the inaugural flights landing at Sphinx International Airport (SPX).
The flight was received with traditional water cannons and an official delegation from the airport, making Flydubai the first airline from the UAE to operate direct flights to Sphinx International Airport.
With the start of its flights to Cairo, flydubai expands its network in Egypt to two destinations, including Alexandria and Cairo.Commenting on the start of operations in Cairo, Sudhir Sridharan, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations (UAE, GCC, Africa, and Indian Subcontinent) at Flydubai, said: “Egypt has always been an important market for Flydubai.
We have seen the increasing demand on the Alexandria route accelerate since We began our operations in 2009. Our new daily service to Cairo will enable more customers from the UAE and the region to have direct access to the city via Sphinx Airport, with its distinguished location.
Flights will operate between Terminal 2 of Dubai International Airport to Sphinx International Airport daily.
