Port Said Port receives the cruise ship SIRENA with 1,111 passengers on board
This morning, the Port Said tourist port received the cruise ship SIRENA coming from the Mediterranean basin as part of a series of tourist cruises scheduled to come to the port, carrying 654 passengers and 357 ship crew of different nationalities as part of one-day tourism trips.
He explained that the port received during the month of May the giant cruise ship PACIFIC WORLD, Pacific World, with 1,209 passengers and 661 crew on board. It also received the cruise ship AMADEA, with 429 passengers and 315 crew on board, the ship VAIKING MARS, with 917 passengers and 455 crew on board, and the ship COSTA PACIFICA. There are 2,564 passengers and 1,021 crew on board.
He stated that quick trips are planned for passengers to Cairo to visit archaeological monuments and museums. The ship will leave the port and continue its cruise this evening to the port of Alexandria.
It is worth noting that the ship was built in 1999 and renovated in 2022. The ship consists of 11 decks consisting of 349 cabins and is distinguished by the presence of restaurants, swimming pools, and sports fields.
He stressed that this activity of the port is evidence of the return of tourism in the region and its readiness to receive this type of ship and to take all necessary preparations to provide facilities for cruise ships and yachts in Egyptian ports, which indicates the confidence of tourist routes in the region’s ports and their safety rates.
