Days 1: Jeeb Safari
After
arrival your trip starts
with a tour to Jebel Harim, the mountain of women. It is the highest peak of
Musandam (2087m).
On the way up you visit
the Bedouin village Sayh, located at 1100 m height. Here you have a stunning
view over Musandam.
You continue to the settlement Rowdah with its pre-islamic
cemetery followed by Khor Najid, the only fjord that can be reached by road.
On
the way back via Birkat Khalidya you pass through a large shaded acacia forest
that is watered by Musandams biggest aflaj canal system.

Days 2: Coast of Musandam
After
breakfast we chauffeur you to Khasab where you board a traditional Omani wooden
sailing boat, the so-called dhow.
Spend the entire day onboard, cruising along
Musandam’s longest and most spectacular fjord. Calm, turquoise waters contrast
the surrounding creamy white karst mountains.
The narrow entry of Khor Shimm
looks like a gorge as its bolt upright cliffs reach sky
high and reflect in the azure waters.
Along the way you find small fishing
villages and most likely a school or two of the endemic Bottlenose Dolphins.
Some people like to swim with the friendly mammals.
The boat will
anchor close to Telegraph Island where you have the opportunity to swim and
snorkel. Please bring your swimwear along.
You can also just relax with a cup
of coffee or non-alcoholic drink and enjoy the peace and serenity of the area.
Here the mountains reach
up to 600 m and are a spectacular sight. Arabic-continental buffet lunch is
served on the dhow. After this relaxing stop you continue the journey to Seebi
Island, another locality for swimming. You reach Khasab harbour at around 16.00
hrs and return to the hotel.
