Chinese tourism traffic to Egypt jumps 300% in the first half and reaches 90,000
Chinese tourism traffic in Egypt recorded a 300% jump in the first half of this year to about 90,000 tourists compared to the corresponding period in 2022.
The Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Chinese aviation authorities signed an agreement to operate direct flights between Egypt and Shanghai via EgyptAir, starting on November 16.
A source at EgyptAir explained that three flights will be operated weekly from Cairo to Shanghai Pu Dong.
He explained that the service would be started via Boeing 777-300 aircraft, and the number of passengers on the plane would reach 346 passengers, including 49 seats allocated to the business class, and 297 economy seats, with a payload of up to 28,625 tons.
