Ministry of Tourism announces the working hours for museums and archaeological sites in Upper Egypt.
Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities to gradually open the archaeological sites and museums with the resumption of the incoming tourism movement to Egypt as of July 1, Dr. Mustafa Waziri, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, indicated that museums and archeological sites in Upper Egypt that have been opened to the public as a first stage will receive their visitors daily starting from 9 am till 1 pm.
He added that these museums and sites include the Nubian museum and Luxor museums, the temples of Abu Simbel and elephantine in Aswan, Karnak, Luxor and Deir el-Bahari temples and the tombs of the Valley of the Kings in Luxor.
In addition to that, some museums and archaeological sites that have been reopened to the public before the end of last June have been identified and are the Matruh Museum and Rommel Cave in the Matrouh Governorate, the Royal Jewelry Museum, and Qaitai Castle in Alexandria Governorate, in light of the gradual opening of archaeological sites and museums and within the framework of health safety controls that Adopted by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities for their application and follow them in museums and archaeological sites to ensure the health and safety of visitors and all of its employees and provide protection and protection for them.
