Days 1: Welcome to the Sultanate of Oman!
Our representative awaits you in the main arrival hall
of Muscat International Airport.
You will be driven to your centrally located
hotel.
The remainder of the day offers free
time for you to explore and relax with the hotel in walking distance to the
beach and dining places – a pleasant leisure time before embarking on. Adventure-filled
days from
tomorrow!

Days 2: Muscat Highlights
Today you visit the 5th largest mosque in the world, the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque with Swarovski chandelier and a one piece carpet, covering the
whole men prayer hall. (Appropriate clothes are required for this visit.)
Passing by the diplomatic quarter, you will be taken to the oldest and largest
market in the country, Muttrah souq. This is a time for you to shop for your Omani souvenirs. Walk
through its narrow alleys where the air is filled with the smell of
frankincense and sandalwood. Don’t forget to bargain!
Next stop is the Al Alam Palace where the Sultan receives his state guests. The palace is
flanked by two Portuguese fortresses, Al Jalali (1578)
to the right and Al Mirani (1581) to the left. At a museum, you will
witness traditional artefacts and traces of history and pre-history of Muscat.

Days 3: Coast and Wadis
What separates Oman from other Gulf states is its diverse
geography and nature. We start the day with a leisurely hike through the Wadi Shab.
You
and your guide will determine the best suited itinerary for the day.
There is a
possibility for swimming along the way so prepare some change of clothes!
You
will pass by Bimah Sinkhole with its azure saltwater pool.
Arriving to the fishing town of Sur, the
home of Omani traditional Dhows (boat), you will visit the dhow factory in the Open
air museum.

Days 4: Sand and stone
We embark on a stunning coastal drive this morning before
reaching Wadi Bani Khalid where water flows all year round.
This most loved wadi of the
country features large pools of turquoise and emerald colored water, lined with
lush green Palm trees inviting you to jump in to refresh.
And for the main
destination of the day, you traverse through the elevations of the vast Wahiba desert. The stay at the authentic desert camp, with local cuisine and
entertainment is an experience everyone will enjoy.

Days 5: Off Nizwa
We head towards the
nearby town of Ibra with its
remarkable Old town and women’s market.
On your way to Nizwa, visit the beautiful
castle of Jabreen, the most beautiful castle of Oman.
As a last stop visit
another UNESCO site, the Bahla Fort. We continue to Nizwa for the night.

Days 6: Castles the Mountain .
Explore
the cultural capital of the country, Nizwa.
This
is followed by a visit to the most visited national monument, Nizwa Fort. Visit
Jebel Shams, the mountain of the sun.
At Al Hamra a traditional Omani village.
It is famous for its rich heritage and you can visit Bait Al Safa, a
traditional house where you get an insight to the daily life of the rural
Omanis. Enjoy a nice rest with typical Omani coffee and dates before heading
back to Nizwa.

Days 7: Nizwa The culture capital
( If its Friday ) then we have the opportunity to watch the bargaining at the animal market where the
farmers bring their cattle to be auctioned once a week.
Just as you thought you
are done with shopping at Muttrah souq, you will be equally tempted by the bustling
Nizwa souq.
On our way just at the
foot of the Jebel Akhdar Mountain is Birkat Al Mauz, a magical place
particularly during sunset. Stroll through the deserted ruined village,
surrounded by date plantations and falaj, the ancient irrigation system that is
UNESCO heritage site.
A few hours later we will reach Muscat, where our
unforgettable journey comes to an end.
